Food for the Alpine


Our favorite foods are always REAL food— but depending on the objective, packing fruits and vegetables will not be the best choice. When planning for big alpine days, we always look for food that is calorie dense, and low weight. (Protein content is a plus!)

Here’s a list of food items we buy regularly for high energy days.


Favorite bars:

Think high protein: The brownie and peanut butter flavors are pretty tasty. These bars have a good texture and are easy to eat while moving. Find them here

Honey stinger: Our favorite flavors are vanilla, chocolate and original Honey find them here

Bolt energy chews: Perfect for quick energy you can eat while moving. We usually buy a package with caffeine and one without. find them here
